Abstract
This work is devoted to finding out the relevance of the problem of myocardial infarction of the right ventricle (RV) and the data available in modern scientific literature regarding the diagnosis and treatment of this condition. Ischemic damage of the RV in most cases is perceived as a rare phenomenon, although statistical data show that almost a third of patients with infarction of the inferior wall of the left ventricle have signs of ischemia of the RV, which has a significant negative impact on their prognosis. To date, there are no clear diagnostic criteria for the diagnosis of RV myocardial infarction, and there are no clear recommendations for medical support in this category of patients. At the same time, there are data that the use of such usual means of treatment of acute coronary syndrome as nitrates, morphine and diuretics in these patients can contribute to the deepening of hemodynamic disorders. Therefore, the management of patients with ischemia or myocardial infarction of the RV requires focused attention and thorough scientific research.
